The Smart Glass makes it possible to protect oneself from prying eyes while allowing light to pass through, to preserve one’s privacy, and to maintain confidentiality.
This type of intelligent glass is suitable for individuals (living room, partition, door, etc.) as well as for professionals (offices, meeting rooms, conference rooms, etc.)
RETROPROJECTION
For the projection of images or videos on our switchable films, an ultra short distance projector with good light capacity will transform the glass into a giant screen via any type of communication mode you wish; internet, television channels, intranet. It will always be a rear projection.
PDLC film, also called switchable film, is a product capable of adjusting the transmission of light between transparent and opaque using the power supply which passes through a low voltage transformer.
The film consists of two layers of ITO films and a PDLC (Polymer dispersed liquid crystal devices) layer.
The influence of electricity on the film reorganizes the molecules of the liquid crystals and light passes through the film.
When the power is turned on, the liquid crystal molecules themselves align parallel to the direction of the applied electricity.
The smart glass is manufactured in our factory based on two laminated and / or tempered glass which contains the PDLC film. Everything is put under vacuum in an autoclave oven to ensure a perfect seal between the different components of the opacifying glazing.

Yes, we currently offer bronze and dark gray glazing.
The maximum classic size is 180cm wide worldwide but we are able to provide the maximum dimension of 190cm wide x 320cm high.
In the event of a power cut, the PDLC returns to its natural state which is opaque.
A power cut will not adversely affect the PDLC as the electricity passes through the transformer which emits 48 volts of voltage.

The transparency capacity of an smart glass will depend on the level of transparency of the glass.
If it is an extra clear glass the retransmission of the capacity of the PDLC will be at its maximum transparency.
The degree of transparency of the PDLC is 82% when it receives the electrical voltage to activate it.
In this case the loss of light transmission is 18%.
The lifespan depends on its intensive use or not over time.
The number of actuations for it to be in transparent mode is approximately 2 million.
The service life in hours in transparent mode is 80,000 hours.
When the window is not in transparent mode, it is not energized and therefore not requested, which increases its lifespan.
Never connect smart glass directly to 220 v without going through a transformer that we provide and which meets specific standards designed for this product.
Make sure that the gaskets around the window are properly sealed, so that no detergent or other product used to clean the windows can damage its seal.
